Refund and Returns Policy

At Laade Books, we strive to ensure you have a satisfying shopping experience. We understand that sometimes an item may not meet your expectations. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our process for returns, replacements, and refunds.
1. General Policy for Books
Books are intellectual property products, and due to their nature (easy copying, hygiene concerns for used items, etc.), we have a limited return window focused primarily on defective, damaged, or incorrect deliveries.
- Return Window: Returns or replacement requests must be initiated within 7 days from the date of delivery.
- Eligibility: Returns are accepted only in the following cases:
- The book(s) is damaged during transit (torn pages, broken binding, water damage, etc.).
- The book(s) is defective (printing errors, missing pages, wrong edition/printing).
- The wrong book/title/edition was delivered (does not match the order).
- The product is materially different from the description on our website.
- Non-Returnable/Non-Refundable Items (except in cases of manufacturing defect or delivery error):
- Opened or read books (any signs of use, markings, folded pages).
- Books with personalized inscriptions, custom prints, or bundled items that have been opened.
- Sale/discounted/clearance items (unless defective).
- Digital/e-books (instant download products are non-refundable).
2. Return Process
To initiate a return or replacement:

- Provide your order number, delivery details, photos of the issue (packaging + book condition), and a brief description of the problem.
- Our team will review and respond within 24–48 hours with approval (if eligible) and instructions.
- Approved returns: Pack the book(s) securely in original packaging (if possible), include a copy of the invoice/order details, and use a reliable courier.
- Return shipping address: John’s Mill, Gate no.3, Jeoni Mandi, Agra 282003, U.P.
- Return shipping cost: Customer bears the return shipping charges unless the return is due to our error (wrong/defective item), in which case we will provide a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable shipping costs.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item (usually within 3–5 business days), we will process the replacement or refund.
3. Refund Process
- Refunds are issued only after successful inspection of the returned item.
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, etc.) within 7–10 business days from receipt of the returned product.
- In case of prepaid orders, the full amount (excluding original shipping charges) will be refunded if eligible.
- If the return is due to our error (wrong/defective/damaged item), we will refund the full order amount including original shipping charges.
- No cash refunds are provided; all refunds are via the original payment mode or bank transfer (where applicable).
4. Replacements
- If a replacement is available and approved, we will ship the correct/new item at no extra cost (for our-error cases) or after you return the original.
- If the requested replacement is out of stock, we will issue a refund instead.
5. Order Cancellation
- Pre-shipment cancellations: You may cancel your order before it is dispatched by contacting us immediately. Full refund will be processed.
- Post-shipment: No cancellations once the order is dispatched.
